Linen for Summer

Happy Friday!!

Woo hoo, it’s the weekend and I am so excited. I apologize for being so MIA on the blog this past week, I am still getting adjusted to my new job and it’s very time consuming. I have also been working to get everything ready for collabs I have coming up, yay! I promise I will get more organized and stay on top of blogging though so I don’t disappear on you all. I am thinking about doing a blog post on how to stay on top of blogging with a busy schedule and tips to avoid being stressed out about blogging. Blogging is supposed to be fun and it’s definitely my favorite hobby, but sometimes I get stressed out about the little things and have to remind myself that this is supposed to make me nothing but happy. Stay tuned for tips and tricks for blogging, I’ll put something together over the weekend for next week!

Today I am sharing my F A V O R I T E linen dress. I have never been a fan of linen dresses because I always thought they were for older women and thought they weren’t flattering. Well, I was wrong. I caved and bought my first linen dress. Well, my mom actually bought this dress and I “borrowed” it from her and I don’t think she will be getting it back soon. One thing I love about linen is that it is so lightweight and breathable, which is especially needed during the summer months. Some summer dresses make me hot because they aren’t breathable, but this dress is the exact opposite. I wore it home on the plane from Florida and it was the comfiest travel outfit, it will definitely be my go to whenever I go somewhere.

This dress can be worn as a cover up for the pool or beach, which is also great for summer. Just throw on a pair of flip-flops and a floppy hat and you are set to go. It can also be dressed up with cute wedges, a crossbody, and jewelry, which is how I styled it for the pictures. The only downfall with linen is how wrinkled it gets because I ironed this dress right before taking these pictures and I sat down for five minutes and it was already wrinkled when I stood back up. But, I highly recommend in investing in a linen dress for summer, trust me, you won’t regret it! I linked my favorite linen dresses at the end of this post.
