Going to the pumpkin patch is my all time favorite fall activity. Over the weekend, we went to a fall festival at Mortimer’s Farm, which is a family owned farm in Dewey, AZ. They had a giant corn maze, pick your own pumpkins, fresh caramel apples, and many activities for kids. The farm also offers homemade pies, fudge, and other amazing sweets. I had originally planned on wearing a flannel with jeans and riding boots, but it was eighty degrees when we went so I settled for a t-shirt dress and a light scarf. I love the shoes I wore, but do not recommend wearing them if you plan on walking for a long period of time (I ended up with the worst blisters). We had so much fun getting lost in the corn maze and finding our own pumpkins, I highly recommend checking out their fall festivals throughout October. I hope you are all enjoying October and fall so far!

Happy Friday! Today I woke up early, made a cup of coffee, & realized it was the perfect fall day to go enjoy the beautiful fall scenery. My boyfriend and I hiked Lockett Meadow and enjoyed every single minute of it. I recommend doing this hike during late September/early October in order to get the full effect of the foliage. Although the drive is a little scary as you drive up the side of a mountain with no guard rail, it’s definitely worth it. This is my favorite fall hike in Flagstaff because the trees are bright yellow and the air is so crisp.

I attended my first Mayo Clinic medical conference this weekend, yay! This conference focused on nutrition and wellness and was absolutely amazing. My mom also attended the conference and ventured out with me in our spare time. Chicago was rainy on and off over the weekend, but I am so happy we still went out and saw as much as possible during our short time there. I also met up with an old friend of mine from Sedona and she showed me around the city. I highly recommend checking out The Hampton Social (where the rosé all day sign is), Cindy’s Rooftop (amazing views of Millenium Park), Glazed and Infused (the best donuts), and Gino’s East (deep dish pizza). I might have gained ten pounds from eating and drinking my way around the city, but at least I learned about nutrition and wellness, so that balances it out, right??
My name is Jonica Wildes and I am originally from the beautiful red rocks of Sedona, Arizona. I am twenty-two years old & I am currently majoring in Public Health and Biology. I am very passionate about healthcare & helping others, which is why I love my major. I love to travel, explore new places, & am always looking for a new adventure. I spend most of my spare time studying (but really), hiking, trying new coffee shops, & traveling as much as possible. I am a lover of my family, dogs, brunch, & champagne.
My style consists of mostly preppy attire. I also love yoga pants, big comfy sweaters, and baseball hats (only Red Sox hats though). I believe style represents your personality & who you are, which is why I love it so much.
Stay tuned for more posts, thanks for checking out my blog!
